There is no doubt that this year has been a good one for female dancehall artiste, MzVee.
Right after earning the Unsung Artiste of the Year at this year’s Ghana Music Awards, the 'Borkor borkor' singer began to bag collaborations with other artistes.
Her soaring popularity seems to have caught the eye of some artistes outside the shores of Ghana, and it is not surprising that MzVee was invited for a collaboration by Danish singer and songwriter, Erann DD.
The artiste who returned from Copenhagen, a day before she performed at the Hennessy Artistry Concert last Saturday, has expressed her delight at her first joint project outside the country.
“It is said that hard work pays, and I’m happy that I’m reaping the results of the efforts I’ve put in my career. It is an honour to have people like Erann DD appreciate my talent and want to feature me on his song. I am elated,” she told Showbiz last Monday.
For MzVee, the collaboration is a step in the right direction since it will provide a platform to sell Ghana’s music to the outside world.
Though the song is yet to be released, MzVee said she was optimistic it will be another “banger” from her.
Touching on her experience at Copenhagen, MzVee described it as an amazing feeling and one that has broadened her knowledge on music related issues.
Erann David Drori is a Danish superstar. He is signed on to international record label, Sony Music.
MzVee was the lead singer in the defunct girl group, D3. She is popular for songs such as 'Borkor Borkor', 'Harmattan', 'Natural girl', 'Revolution', 'Dancehall Queen', 'Revelation', 'Gimme Dat', 'My Time' and 'My Everything'.
She is set to release her first album on November 1.
