As the saying goes that “what goes around, comes around”, the re-elected General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has been reminded to swallow back every denigrated words he used to describe the NPP when 17 personalities contested for the Presidential slot in 2007.

Asiedu Nketiah once said in 2007 that the opposition NPP has gathered with 17 thieves and they are going to choose the chief of the thieves to lead them in the 2008 general elections.

He again was heard on the campaign platform of the immediate past National Chairman of NDC telling the delegates not to elect “useless” executives otherwise he would resign as the General Secretary.

According to Nana Boakye, the current NDC team per Asiedu Nketiah’s words is a “useless” team as his preferred candidates were booted out in the just ended NDC congress in Kumasi; adding the NDC team will end up in a “useless” endeavor as Asiedu Nketiah has said.

He therefore chided that the NDC has endorsed persons with questionable characters to occupy the National Executive positions as Asiedu Nketiah in 2007 insulted 17 personalities in NPP who had done wrong; calling them thieves for contesting for the Presidential slot in NPP.

Nana Boakye insisted that Asiedu Nketiah and NDC have endorsed corruption by electing Mrs. Betty Mould-Iddrisu as Vice Chairperson of NDC as she masterminded the fraudulent and dubious judgment debt payments to undeserving persons.

He wondered how Asiedu Nketiah will call the over 17 personalities who contested for positions in the NDC as many of them during their campaign revealed that state funds were used by the NADMO boss and current National Chairman of NDC, Kofi Portuphy to campaign.

“If you look at the things Asiedu Nketiah has said in the past, you see everything he has said about NPP has come back to haunt him. For me, this [NDC] team per Asiedu Nketiah is a useless endeavor as he said. When great 17 personalities in NPP n 2007 stood to contest for the Presidential slot, we had somebody like Asiedu Nketiah to say they are 17 thieves and nobody spoke against what he said”, he reminded.

“Now look, Betty Mould-Iddrisu, NDC has endorsed corruption and you should ask how she resigned from the Attorney-General's Department. Under her, we realized that Judgment Debt is a fraudulent deal where she craftily paid to undeserving persons and companies…..Judgment Debt became a budget item under NDC government to pay dubious and fraudulent debts and this was the idea of Betty Mould-Iddrisu. What will Asiedu Nketiah say now; despite the rots she has caused the state, they have gone ahead to elect her to be a Vice Chair of NDC”, he added.
