According to one of the residents, Philip Ashon, he woke up around 4am when he “heard some noise,” and quickly came out of his room to inquire what was happening.
He said he saw so many people standing by a man in a pool of blood lying by a gutter with some piece of wood around him adding that “I heard people saying he went to steal some fruits.”
“He stole the first one, coming back for the second one that was when they caught him,” he added.
He said the incident happened around 2am.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Muslim ambulance service came for the body of the lynched man.
