Ivory Coast seek pre-AFCON friendly with Ghana- reports

Reports are that Ivory Coast want to play Ghana in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly next month.

The Elephants are housed in a tricky Group alongside Cameroon, Mali and Guinea and want to prepare adequately.

Head coach Herve Renard is leaving no stone unturned as he bids to re-write the script with the perennial underachievers.

Ghana themselves are in a very tough pool consisting Algeria, Senegal and a resurgent South Africa side.

Both federations are yet to confirm on the news.

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations will run from 17 January to 08 February.
