man was disturbed by his wife as he attempted to bury their 10-year-old
daughter alive simply 'because she was a girl', according to reports.
The horrifying incident happened in Tripura, in north-east India.

Hussein allegedly taped his daughter's mouth and tied her hands before
digging a pit in the back garden of the family home.
A shocking image of the little girl buried chest-deep was shown on Indian news station, NDTV.
When Abdul's wife returned home, he tried to conceal the little girl by placing a bamboo basket over her head, it is alleged.
His wife became suspicious and the little girl was eventually found by neighbours.
Abdul was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
