3-- The Black Stars of Ghana have won six Cup of Nations semi-finals, drawn one and lost three, scoring 14 goals and conceding 13. It will be the first last-four appearance by Equatorial Guinea.
4-- Four-time Cup of Nations champions Ghana are far above Equatorial Guinea on the January FIFA rankings with a 31-place advantage in Africa and an 81- place advantage in the world.
5-- Equatorial Guinea are unbeaten in the 2015 Cup of Nations with two draws followed by two victories while Ghana started with a loss and then won three consecutive games.
