The rapper capped an emotional Thursday by publicly apologizing to Beck for rushing the stage when the indie-rock star was awarded the Grammy for Album of the Year over Kanye pal Beyoncé. Kanye later said backstage that Beck should have given up the award to "respect artistry."

Kanye later admitted that he hadn't actually even heard Beck's album before making such a claim. Today, he took to Twitter today to extend an olive branch to Beck... and then to Bruno Mars, whom Kanye also has beefed with.

The tweets came after Kanye sat down for a tearful interview with England's BBC Radio 1. While discussing his fashion mentor, the late Louise Wilson, West became so distraught that the host called a temporary time-out on the interview, offering the rapper a few minutes to regain his composure before things proceeded.

DJ Zane Lowe referenced Kanye's recent collaboration with Paul McCartney and Rihanna on "FourFiveSeconds," saying such a fusion of various styles was similar to West's foray into sneaker design. Kanye then saluted Wilson, a professor of fashion design at London's Central Saint Martins art school, who passed away in 2014.

"Fusion is the future. Period. The mixing of ideas. The two lunch tables working together. Humanity period man. We're one people," said West, who then paused for a moment to collect his thoughts. "I went to Louise Wilson's memorial, the greatest fashion instructor of all time. And I'm talking about of all-timers.
"Louise Wilson was the baddest professor of all time of any fashion school ever — notorious for not letting people stop at a 7 or 8 ever, pushing people to a 12."

West went on to describe his last interaction with his design guru. "Last time I saw her, we had a dinner at Hakkasan, which is my favorite restaurant in London, and I think she knew that she was going to pass. She just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward. She was asking me about my daughter, asking me about my wife. ... She said, 'So many students, they don't give it their all. And the problem is as soon as they do anything halfway good — when they are 2 years old, 3 years old — their parents clap.’ And she just looked at me and she said, 'Kanye. Don’t clap.'"

Lowe asked West to discuss Wilson's influence on him. "I didn't know we were gonna lose her," Kanye stammered. "And she told me, she said, 'Thank you for the times where you know we came to performances. ... This has really meant a lot to me.' She would..."

And that's when Kanye lost it and Lowe temporarily halted the interview.

Upon returning to his seat, Kanye said, "That’s never happened to me in an interview before."

It was a rare time that Kanye was at a loss for words.
