The owner and life patron of Kotoko, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei II has thanked General Manager, Opoku Nti on behalf of Kotoko players after he visited the team at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Kotoko are preparing to travel out to Algeria for the first leg of their CAF Champions' League qualifying first round first leg against Mouloudia Club d'El Eulma next week Saturday, March 14.

And the club's owner left no one in doubt of his commitment by showing up to offer a first hand support as the Ghana champions seek to revive their continental title chase.

“My grandchildren are grateful”, the Asantehene said to Opoku Nti moments after separately meeting the players.

The Asantehene Nana interacted with the players on their performance and other relevant issues after which he lauded Opoku Nti for his management of affairs especially in these trying moments.

“He met the players separately. They had hearty discussions and following that, the players promised Nana that, they will work hard to turn things around immediately” said Kotoko Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah.

The players relayed to Nana how well the leadership of the club has handled matters concerning their welfare and other issues, a situation which obviously led to Opoku Nti being praised, said the Communications Manager.
