New Reading signing Kwesi Appiah says he is excited by the opportunity to play in the Championship.
The Ghana international joined from Crystal Palace and is currently enjoying a hot streak after making a succesful international debut with the Black Stars at the the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea early in the year.
"I am looking forward to it,my first day is today and it is an exciting challenge for me and I can't wait to get started. First day is a bit nervy but once you meet all the staff and the lads,you just crack on and it's good.
Reading will hope Appiah's arrival will lift a slumbering attack that has failed to come to life even with the arrival of an experienced scorer like Yakubu Ayigbeni as they fight against the drop from the Championship into League One.
