Ace hiplife artiste, Obrafour believes rapper, Sarkodie needs to be encouraged other than criticized unnecessarily as he possesses the qualities to ‘take Ghana music places’.

Obrafour speaking on Persnality Profile on Joy FM with Lexis Bill, Thursday, described the man whom he collaborated with some years ago as one with a special skill.

“We need to encourage and uplift him because Sarkodie is someone who has the ability to take Ghana’s hiplife places…,” he said.

The fastest rapper in Ghana has been subjected to several criticisms lately following his collaboration with American artiste Ace Hood.

Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo, has been accused of lying after Ace Hood publicly denied his claims that he had contacted him (Sarkodie) to produce a new collaboration called ‘New Guy’.

Ace Hood, in a tweet, revealed that he had only agreed to go ahead with the feature after the Ghanaian rapper had paid $25,000.

But these criticisms, Obrafour believes are unnecessary and instead called on Ghanaians to focus on the positives of the Tema-based rapper.

“Sarkodie did well by collaborating with Ace Hood and that should end there…am so anxious to hear what would come out of the collaboration...,” he said when asked to comment on Sarkodie and Ace Hood saga.

On MUSIGA, Obrafour said he was a semi-member of the association whose membership is optional.
