Arsenal star Jack Wilshere shows off new girlfriend as Gunners prepare to offer midfielder a new deal (PHOTOS)

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere appears to be enjoying the summer break after posting pictures online of his holiday with new girlfriend Andriani Michael.

The England international started dating the daughter of his barber following a split from the mother of his two children, Lauren Neal.

Wilshere endured a difficult start to last season, which was again blighted by injury, but hit form as the campaign progressed.

The 23-year-old scored in the Gunners' final Premier League game of the season and scored his first and second goals for England in their recent 3-2 win against Slovenia.

And now the Arsenal academy graduate looks set for a new deal to ward off interest from Manchester City.

City are keen to sign talented players that can help them fill their home-grown quota, but any move is likely to prove unsuccessful with the FA Cup winners ready to double his wages, giving him a weekly salary in excess of £100,000.

Wilshere still has three years remaining on his current deal but the club feel he has shown form and fitness deserving of a bumper contract.
