Actress Nana Ama McBrown says she is shocked  by Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale’s claims that he is prepared to record a ‘diss’ song for anyone who gets on her case.

Last week, Shatta Wale was on Pluzz FM  threatening to deal “mercilessly with any ‘potential’  troublemakers”  who would want to trouble his godmother, McBrown, in anyway.

According to Shatta, “If you want to begin a beef with Shatta Wale, then you need to start with Nana Ama McBrown. If you touch Nana Ama McBrown, you have touched me because she is my mother and I will not take it easy with anyone who dares to trouble her.”

Reacting to Shatta’s claim in an interview with Showbiz last Tuesday, the versatile actress said although Shatta Wale has been a friend for a long time, she never expected Shatta to go that far.

“ Shatta and I are very cool, but to do a diss song for anyone who troubles me is beyond love, I think. Although I was overwhelmed by what he said, I pray he does not do a diss song for anyone, ” she said.

The pretty actress who admires Shatta Wale in return described him as a hardworking musician who knows what he wants.

“For him to have risen from Bandana to Shatta Wale shows how far he has come. I’m impressed with where he is now and I keep advising him to keep the fire burning,” she said.

Asked whether she has been advising Shatta Wale on his ‘rowdy’ behaviour, Nana Ama said she is the type who looks beyond one’s character.

According to her, she loves to look at one’s talent and not their character which is why Shatta Wale has been her friend for a long time.

“Everyone has a bad side so I don’t talk about his character.  But I keep telling  him he  should not do anything that will make me regret being his friend because he admires my work and I also do same for him”, she stated.

Moving away from her relationship with Shatta, Nana Ama was asked how she seems to always thrill her audience when she mounts the stage to perform as a musician and she said:  “ you have no idea, but I am always nervous before I come on stage. I am not a professional musician, however, when I stand before the people, I know I have to entertain them, so I just let myself go and make my stagecraft interesting and appealing”, she revealed.
