Manchester City's £47million man Raheem Sterling has continued to make new friends in Manchester - but this time, they're United fans.

The England winger, was spotted leaving his hotel in the city and happily posed for pictures with supporters, including those of his new club's main rivals.

Sterling, 20, left Liverpool as very much the villain during the summer, but has enjoyed a bright start to life at the Etihad.

Sterling has played his part as City have sauntered their way to the top of the Premier League table with successive 3-0 wins - including Sunday's victory over champions Chelsea.

The most expensive Englishman in history is already becoming a fan favourite with Blues fans, and went out of his way to endear himself to supporters by handing his shirt to lucky supporters after his debut against West Brom.

And speaking on Sky Sports on Monday Night Football, former United defender Gary Neville says Sterling has revitalised his new club.

“It was a very good performance from Sterling. Last season it went a little bit stale for Manchester City - the idea of how they attacked, how they played.

"What I thought I saw yesterday [Sunday] was a really mature, disciplined performance from Raheem Sterling.

"It wasn’t spectacular; there weren’t goals or lots of assists. His positional sense was immaculate. It was fantastic; he gave [Branislav] Ivanovic a torrid time."
