In the making of music, there are a lot of procedures which goes through. Apart from the artist, the most important person who is usually hidden away from the scene is the beat maker. We usually call them by the name "Producer".

The Producer is behind all the beat making techniques and usually everything about the song which will make it worth listening. In fact, they turn songs into music.

In Ghana, there are a lot of high Producers which includes, Da Maker, Lynx Entertainment, Edy Kay, Kin Dee,SlimbO,E.l,Shaker,BrainyBeatz to mention but few however, I have selected ten most popular and some of their hit works. Let's find out who rules from the bottom.

10. Willis Beatz:
Willis Beatz is a very popular sound engineer. Just like the other producers, his name is always mentioned in the music he produces. He is based in Takoradi. Willy takes the number 10 spot for his great effort. New song Takoradi by Papa Elliot is one of his works. Osey by Nero X is also another example.
His style of beat making is similar to Nacee. When it comes to Gospel, he is on point. Willy is good and deserves this position.

9. Masta Garzy:
Our next popular producer lives in Tema in Accra. This popular producer actually does most of the songs of 4X4, another popular singing group in Ghana. Check this song out: "Give me some more" by 4X4. He is good with all the dancing tunes. He deserves this position.

8. Beatz Dakay:
Most often, the main idea behind a song becoming popular is actually the beat maker. In Ghana, most music lovers loves the dancing beats. However, this popular man, tagged as Beatz Dakay is also one on the hot list. He produced Stonebwoy's hit song Go Higher, then Stonebwoy's song By Grace and popular song Baafira from Stonebwoy. So you see, He is firmly behind him. He takes the eight position on our list.

7. Magnom:
Magnom is currently one of the outstanding producers in Ghana at the moment. He has that talent over the machines. One of his major hit work was Ghana's finest rapper Sarkodie's Illuminate. Download and check how the beat sounds. Further, take a look at Edem's Koene. There are a lot but this two will keep you going.

6. Kaywa:
When it comes to lists like this, we cannot undo this producer. Kaywa is actually one of the popular producers. Like Nacee, he produces both Gospel music and all the others. One example is Gifty Osei's Fefeefe.  Kaywa won the sound engineer in 2013 and he is still on form. The popular song Odo pa by Castro, Kofi Kinaata and Baby Jet which won an award was produced by this creative engineer. Then, popular song Makoma by R2BEES was also produced by Kaywa. Finally, Bisa Kdei's popular song Mansa was also produced by Kaywa.

5. D.J Breezy:
D.J Breezy is currently one of the best producers today. Just last year, He was adjourned the best producer. One of his popular work is Tonga by Joey B. Then, Personal Person by D Black and Castro. There are more. Some think D. J Breezy does the same beats over and over again with just some few adjustments. However, this producer makes it on the 5th position here.

4. Killbeatz:
Most of Fuse ODG's songs are produced by this man. I don't know the reason but am sure its because of the quality job he does. Killbeatz is on top form and deserves this position. For example, popular song, Down on one by Sarkodie and Fuse ODG is a good example. M3gye wo girl by Shatta Wale and Sarkodie is also another banger.

3. Nacee:
Nacee is a popular Gospel musician and singer too. I have to rate him on the third position because, He is equally excellent like the other producers we have in Ghana. Nacee has that kind of meledious voice he employ in his production. Sometimes, he sings some of the lines for those who comes over. Nana Osei who is actually nicknamed Nacee revealed his split from the Group No Tribe some time ago. One popular song produced is "aba mu awie" meaning already fulfiled. He takes the third position.

2. Appietus:
Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus (born 12 March 1977) is a Ghanaian actor musician, music producerand sound engineer based in Accra, Ghana. The name Appietus gained prominence from his signature "Appietus in the mix".  It was, however, coined from the phrase "Appiahs' Tools". He has been the winner of six music industry awards in the 10-year span from the start of his career. He won the Ghana Music Honours 2015 Best Music Producer and Sound Engineer award, Sun Shine Music Awards 2010 Best Sound Engineer award and the UK Ghana Music Awards, Best Sound Engineer in 2008.
Appietus has been one of the best producers for a long while now. He has produced most of the songs from Daddy Lumba and Ofori Amponsah. Appietus started with the highlife style. For example, Tokrom from Daddy Lumba was produced by him. Then, he jumped to the hiplife, the hiphop and azonto genre. This has kept Appietus in the business for a longtime making him a popular producer.
Now, lets take a look at some of the songs he had produced. K.K Fosu's “Adekye Nsroma” is one of his work. Okyeame Kwame's "Small small" was produced by him. Sarkodie's old track "Azonto fiesta" is one of his production. There are a lot and these are few.

1. Hammer:
First of all, www.Ghsongs.com have a particular reason in putting Hammer at this position. Those of us, who started listening to music are very much aware of this producer. I remember before Lynx Entertainment brought in a new style, Hammer, Appietus and Jay Q were the monsters in beat making. During those times, the competition between the producers were real.

The C.E.O of the last two entertainment , helped to bring up some certain talents the rest of the producers could not. For example, Obrafour, Tinny, Edem, Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese and were brought up from his productions. One characteristic with the Hammer production is the "bass" in his beats. It can even break your eye drum.

Hammer was very much into the hiphop version. When it comes to beat making, you cannot leave Hammer out of it. Hammer has produced a lot of songs. Let's check some of his productions. "Pae mu ka" by Obrafour, popular hit song "sarkodie no nie" by Sarkodie, "The warning" by Teephlow, Kwaw Kese – "Swedru Agona" ft Teeflow & Obrafour, and other heavy songs.

Hammer top it all and its because he has time to train people. A lot of artists today are much convinced on how Hammer has helped them to achieve all the fame they have.

He is the National Hiplife Director at Musicians Union of Ghana, Musiga and Founder & Chairman at THE LAST TWO MUSIC GROUP
