The Deputy Editor of Flex newspaper, Kwame Dadzie, has joined Accra -based Pluzz FM from Care TV after joining them in October last year.

The former Koforidua-based Vision FM presenter started hosting THE GOSPEL COUNTDOWN on Sunday,  18th October,2015,where he hosted many gospel musicians both known and those seemed missing in the industry on the show that was aired on Multi TV on Sundays from 5pm to 6pm.

The show was  made up of a countdown of 20 gospel songs in the country where reporters  from the various regions  also gave updates on  gospel songs excelling in their regions.

It is not clear what made Kwame leave a show that had gained popularity within a short period on a television that was jostling with other big brands for viewers,  so early.

But in an interview with Dayz Entertainment, Kwame disclosed that he will be hosting an entertainment programme on Pluzz FM.

"I will be hosting Pluzz FM's Sunday entertainment magazine programme FLEX ON PLUZZ from 2pm to 5pm", he revealed.

When asked whether or not he will be back to television broadcasting again, he posited that: "For personal reasons, Let me concentrate on radio for now.....  I will be on TV again though, It wont be long;It may be a different TV channel",

When  Mr Dadzie was asked why GOSPEL COUNTDOWN is off the screens of Care TV, he said his programme was taken off following the emergence of a new management.

"I was called by one of the directors on Tuesday [ 1st March] who told me they have been ordered to stop all programmes [of Ricky] except Ayeyie and OPD", Hisroyal Smoothness revealed.

However, Dayz Entertainment gathers that Ricky Anokye, a key production giant behind Kwame's programme had earlier parted ways with Care TV and took off his programmes including THE GOSPEL COUNTDOWN.

Gospel fanatics across the country loved the TV show because it gave several gospel artistes to showcase their talents, promote their brands and projects.

Kwame Dadzie, an entertainment and creative arts enthusiast through his mammoth social media following almost made THE GOSPEL COUNTDOWN a household name when he handled it.

Albeit hosting the show for a short time, his flair, composure,  humour, confidence, and interview skills made him the best choice for discerning viewers who love gospel.

Besides his way of dressing that raised eyebrows, Kwame's constant criticisms on his fellow broadcasters and entertainment industry players on social media, particularly on Facebook,  catapulted his viewers in the middle class society.

Kwame Dadzie who has been off radio for close to two years will start a new show on Pluzz FM on Sunday, 27th March 2016.

Ricky Anokye's efforts on his TV career would not be forgotten since he (Ricky) introduced him to consistent TV show hosting.

"I must say I owe Ricky thanks", Kwame told Dayz Entertainment.

Kwame has chronologically gone through the mill in broadcasting.

As a professional teacher, he started his radio journey from Krush FM,an online radio in 2009 in Koforidua.

In the same year, he became George Ayisi Asiedu's  producer on Sunrise FM’s entertainment show dubbed Ultimate Chart Show.

In 2011, he moved to Eastern FM where he produced the Eastern Chart Show hosted by Londona.

In March 2012, Kwame was invited by the late Vision FM CEO Oliver Desbordes Acquah to handle their entertainment show, Arts and People.

Kwame Dadzie hosted  that show till he left Vision FM in 2014 following the demise of its CEO.

Kwame Dadzie, though not the standard we measure every entertainment show host in the capital, his ebullience on radio is sure to sail him through.
