Sensational Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has debunked claims that she is arrogant.

According to the ‘Mummy's Daughter’ actress, she is a “painfully shy” person and is often interpreted by people as arrogance.

“I think I am a weirdo, naturally sometimes I can be a nerd… I am painfully shy and really nervous but a lot of people don’t believe that...but I am extremely shy,” Buari told Starr Chat host Bola Ray on Wednesday.

She added that people must get to know her to understand that she is not arrogant but just a shy person.

Buari, however, failed to reveal the identity of the father of her twin girls saying she wants to keep her family life private.

Buari was born 21 November 1982. She received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2007 and 2009.

She has starred in over 30 movies including The Return of Beyoncé, Mummy’s Daughter, Darkness of Sorrow, Slave to Lust, In The Eyes of My Husband, American Boy, Wicked Intentions and Tomorrow Must Wait.’

In 2014 the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards gave her a 'SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD' in an event held in Accra, Ghana.
