The Mansa hit maker Bisa Kdei has been in the news hours after winning the album of the year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016 .

Initially the highlife artist was in the news for calling himself one of the Pioneers of High life music in Ghana when he went on stage to receive the Highlife Song of the Award.

The overall Artist of the Year was won by the front liner of BBnz Live, rapper cum producer EL.

The debate started just after the big award was given out and most music lovers are asking: How come Bisa Kdei won Album of the year & Most popular song of the year but didn't win The Artist of The Year Award?

But others think Bisa didn't win that category because he does Highlife music and not Hiplife but check below what Publicist ,Tv & Radio Presenter Kwame Dadzie got to say:

I have heard people say Bisa K Dei didn't win the Artiste of the Year award because he does highlife and highlife cannot take us to BET.

Nonsense! Since when did the BET become the ultimate yardstick for measuring the success of the Ghanaian musician? Are we doing Ghana Music Awards or BET Awards?

So if Bisa cannot be sold on international music market for which reason he may ostensibly have been deprived on the Artisfe of the Year award, why was he nominated in the first place? So that his fans would vote and the organisers will make money or what?

Let's simply go by the VGMA logic of the "mystery" Public Votes, Academy Votes and Board Votes and rest this case. Since we can't see the votes, let's just assume it is the votes that made EL win. Yes, we can only assume.

Anyone that ropes in the BET baloney must tell us what link Charterhouse has with BET or shush!

Well, maybe they know something we don't know.

Kwame Dadzie was the Gospel Count Down show on Care Tv and now the host of  FlezOnPluz, an entertainment show on Accra based Radio Pluz fm every Sunday at 2pm
