Media mogul and CEO of Slip Music, Mark Okraku Mantey is reportedly threatening legal action over Sarkodie’s cover of Daasebre Gyamena’s Kokooko.
Okraku Mantey allegedly feels aggrieved that his permission was not sought before the song was released weeks ago. Sarkodie first performed the song on December 25 last year at his Rapperholic Concert which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Both Lord Kenya and Daasebre Gyamena (who featured originally on the track) were signed to Slip Music, under which the song was released in 1999.
