Overwhelming industry support at Grace Nortey’s 80th birthday celebration

Kalsoume Sinare, Kofi Adjorlolo, Fred Amugi, Grace Omaboe, Nana Ama McBrown, and  Martha Ankomah are among top Ghanaian actors who joined the legendary Grace Nortey as she marked 80 years on earth yesterday, February 1st.

Others include Gloria Safo, William Addo, Akorfa Edjeani Asiedu, Dan Tei-Mensah, Mikki Osei Berko, Papa Nii, Kofi Falconer, Tagoe Sisters, Oscar Provencal, and Alexander Chima Cyprian.

Now a widow and a mother of five, the actress, famous for portraying powerful roles as a witch or insufferable old lady, was full of smiles as she danced alongside her colleagues and young admirers alike (all dressed in white) in celebration of this milestone.

Grace Nortey has been active for well over thirty years, and has starred in several movies and TV productions, and is an omnipresent name in many households when discussions around Ghana’s golden moments of film are recounted.
