It seems Promzy, former member of legendary music group, VIP is about to start an epic major war between himself and the grandfather of Hip Life music in Ghana, Reggie Rockstone.
Before anything, let me ask, why will Promzy think of this beef?
Earlier this week, a news from Clock Newspaper indicated that, Emmanuel Ababio known in showbiz circles as Promzy did not resign from Nima based hip-life group VIP (Vision In Progress) as was initially speculated and then everything was well with him and his “brothers” (Prodigal and Zeal) until Reggie Rockstone came into the picture, “we were cool and had made plans for a new project we were about to get underway only for me to hear that I had been replaced by Reggie” he noted.
Speaking to an insider, someone very closer to the group, he revealed to GhJoy.Net that, if indeed Promzy said Reggie Rockstone is the reason he is no longer with VIP, now known as VVIP, then Promzy Afrika is a bloody liar.

According to the insider, who for some reasons want his name not mentioned, Reggie Rockstone knows nothing about Promzy’s exit.
He said…………………….. Promzy, with his own reasons met with Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bull-Dog, who was by then the manager of the group, where Promzy was brave enough to announce his exit to the board of members present at that time, including Prodigal and Zeal, on September 11.
His exit became very surprising to all of us including Reggie Rockstone. When Reggie heard the news about Promzy’s exit, guess who he called first? Promzy was the first person Reggie called. This is because Reggie has been closer to Emmanuel for a very long time.
Reggie was worried the group will die so guess what, after Reggie spoke to Promzy, he later on called Zeal who confirmed to him that, Promzy has truly left the group.
Rockstone then asked Zeal if the group had a beef with Promzy or anything to cause Promzy’s exit from VIP, Zeal confirmed to Reggie – there is no grudge between them.
Zeal stated, Reggie shouldn’t be surprised because on several occasions, Promzy had always wanted to go Solo.
No wonder he didn’t appear in the groups music video with Terry G and this is a clear evidence to show why i keep saying Promzy is a bloody liar if he said he was sacked from the group.
Their music video for their song with Terry G titled KoKoKo was shot last year and on Dec 16, 2013, the video was on YouTube. That is the only video of VIP without Promzy.

Funny enough, there was also a recording tape at the time Promzy was resigning and that alone proves Promzy resigned from his group VIP and was not sacked.
Reggie Rockstone’s Coming To VIP
For most of us very closer to Reggie, we know how jovial he can be sometimes.
Reggy tweeted months after Promzy had left the group saying, He would love to join VIP. A lot of people can testify to this.
He received a lot of support from some of his fans and for those who challenged him, he cant count.
Truth is, Reggie is someone who hates to be underestimated so as wealthy and respected as he is, Reggie decided to prove to those undermining him he can do something better with the other members, Prodigal and Zeal. Besides, Reggie has been doing music for more than a decade now so he believes in himself.
Reggie picked up his phone and called Zeal, who is the oldest in the group and said to Zeal he would love to be a member of VIP.
Zeal took it as one of Reggie’s jokes so Reggie asked him in a funny way, Oh but u why? Am i not a good rapper?
After the other members had seen Reggie’s seriousness, the legal and rightful things were done and his joke is now a reality,
The team accepted him and now, VIP known as VVIP is highly branded than before to the extent of recording with Idris Elba.
Promzy Attacks Reggie Rockstone
After Reggie joined the group, they released their first single dubbed Selfie, which is still one of the most trended songs.
Not long after their come-back, Reggie received a video of Promzy with his gang insulting him (Reggie). It was later on revealed that, the video was recorded by Promzy whilst he was still in the group.
In the video, Promzy was seen referring to somebody about a prior plot to do him (Reggie) harm. In his words, Promzy stated……. remember da ting wey we wan do am for een club? Meaning, Remember The Thing We Will Do To Him In His Club?
Reggie later sent the video to his lawyer and his lawyer advised him to take Promzy on.
But you know what, because of the love Reggie has for his younger brother (Promzy), he told his lawyer not to start something like this because he can never and will never hate Promzy to that extent despite his threats and insults.
Not ending there, Reggie keeps receiving comments from people about Promzy going around insulting and tarnishing his reputable image.
Reggie acted as if he hasnt seen the video or heard those insults either so his relationship with Promzy was still brotherly and friendly. Reggie went ahead to host a surprise birthday at his club for Promzy after-all because according to Reggie, beefing Promzy is one of the last things he will do.
The most surprising thing is, when Lazy, now known as Zeal lost his mother, Promzy refused to show up at the ceremony or even call his brother to send his condolence. For the record, Promzy and Zeal have been group members for over 15 years yet he did not attend Zeal’s mother’s funeral and never called.
Reggie doesn’t really care about that but for someone like Promzy, who is more or less the age-mate of his daughter to go around insulting him, he is getting fed up with the boy.
Is It Necessary To Envy VVIP Now?
Now that Reggie Rockstone, Prodigal and Zeal are working hard to make VVVIP the best group in Ghana’s history, and for someone like Promzy, who is a former member of the group, what he needs to do now is to be proud of what his brothers are doing, rather than hating, envying and spreading fake stories.
Truth is, what Promzy is doing shows he envies the success of the group. So can someone ask him this, would he have hated, envied or lie if VVIP is a flop?
Reggie Rockstone is tired of these lies and fake paintings. All he wants is to meet Promzy in person and ask him why he (Promzy) is going around tarnishing his image, and if there is something Reggie has done to offend him, they settle whatever it is as matured people but believe me, Reggie has done no wrong to that guy and as i said earlier on, he is getting fed up…
