Ghanaian singer Rebecca Akosua
Acheampomaa Acheampong popularly known as Becca redeemed the glory for
her annual Becca Girl Talk concert on Saturday 20th December 2014 with a
well organised event – no technical hitch, great performances and no
time to waste. The third edition held on December 2013 according to
patrons who attended the event was nothing to write home about but Becca
proved critics who pre-judged this year’s event with last year’s
wrong. The event which started around 10:00PM had lots of twists and
turns to put audience into suspension on the night. The event started
with actor Prince David Osei on stage welcoming all the beautiful ladies
to the event. Nana Ama Mcbrown was seen next on stage performing Daddy
Lumba’s “Yentie Obia”. With a grade A opening act by the beautiful
actress, there was noway any artiste which followed will disgrace him or
herself.
Becca was then ushered on stage by energetic female dancers. Mzbel
and Akosua Agyapong joined Becca on stage to also entertain the crowd.
After the awesome delivery by the two female artistes, the male singers
had to come and win souls of the ladies with love songs. Afriyie,
formerly of Wutah came to perform “Love Of My Life”, followed by
Akwaboah and the ladies’ man, Kwabena Kwabena joined later to sing “U
Lied To Me” together with Becca. Then came the time to propose. Becca
gave the chance for a fan to propose to his girlfriend on stage which
turned the whole auditorium agog as Dominic, the gentleman who made an
offer of marriage to his girlfriend made a special request for Kwabena
Kwabena to sing any love song for his lover for he was his best male
musician.
The lady who could not hold back her
tears raised her boyfriend up and gave him a romantic hug till the love
song by Kwabena Kwabena which was supported by Afriyie and Akwaboah
died. The show continued with other dramatic scenes. Other surprises on
the night included Tiffany who came to dance “Adowa” whilst Efya was on
stage performing. The dance moves by the female rapper took the crown by
surprise as they kept cheering her up. Every second that passed by at
the 2014 Becca Girl Talk Show was an eventful moment which will go down
in the history of the show as the best ever held throughout the years.
