Ghana winger Christian Atsu is expected to make a return to action within 2-3 weeks, according to Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
Atsu could be fit to feature in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations once he returns to active football in early January after suffering a hamstring injury.
“With these muscle injuries you have to monitor them and be careful they are fully fit. We’re trying to make sure he’s back in the next two to three weeks maximum. These sorts of injuries happen to players like Christian who are sprinters,” Martinez told Everton’s official website.
Everton sent the former FC Porto midfielder to his parent club, Chelsea, to undergo treatment on the hamstring injury.
