The rapper, born Nii Addo Quaynor, lost his father, Ricky Tetteh Quaynor, who is known to be the pillar of his music career, on Friday, February 13, 2015.
His father died at the Labadi Polyclinic after a long battle with cancer.
Tinny, known for several hit songs including ‘Makola Kwakwe’ told the media after the loss that his father had been the backbone of his career.
“He died at the Labadi Polyclinic. He is the one who has consecutively produced me right from ‘Makola Kwakwe’ till date. He has been my backbone all these years. It’s sad but the Lord knows best,” he said.
Ahead of the burial, he has been seen busily working on the final resting place for his father.
A photograph of him personally working on the grave that the mortal remains of the late Ricky Tetteh Quaynor will lay in has hit the media.
On Thursday, Tinny posted a photograph of his father holding him as a child on Instagram with the caption: “The Real Painful Part Is He Pampered Me At This Age & Now Am Gonna Say Goodbye To Him, Oh Lord Give Me The Strength To Stand This. Love You Daddy .. R.I.P ..I Wish I Could Reverse Things ..Only God Know Best ..your Nokutsobi Still Here Missing You Ricky 100% Salutes..”
Tinny’s late father, who was his manager and acted as his producer, has been the most visible person around the artiste since he beg n his career over 20 years ago.
