Sad news: Nana Yaa Of GTV’s Obra Series is DEAD

Perhaps not a very good start for the year for the arts sector as Ghbase reports that one of popular actress known widely for her roles in Obra famous TV series actress Lily Ameyaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa  has passed on.

According to the report, the cause of the death is unknown yet.

She was 55 and joined the Obra Drama group in 1989. She was a versatile player, and a friendly player, says the leader of the drama group Amankwa Ampofo. The one week celebration of her death will come off on Wednesday, January 14, at Sekyere Dumase, near Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

The late Nana Yaa was also for sometime a panelist on Peace FM’s Wo Ba Ada Anaa’programme. Funeral announcements will be made known later.
