Ghanaian music acts, D-Black and Kwaw Kese will host a star-studded party in two cities to premier their latest collaboration ‘Shigbogbo’.
The video, shot in South Africa, will be premiered at Bella Roma in Accra on Friday, February 27 and at Vienna City in Kumasi on Saturday, February 28.
‘Shigbogbo’, according to a statement from D-Black, is a North Kaneshie slang which means “to hustle with all of your energy and paying no mind to naysayers or haters”.
Both events will host an impressive list of acts including, VVIP, E.L, Efya, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and Sarkodie.
In another development, D-Black, born Desmond Blackmore, is expected to release his first ‘E.P’ on April 3 - Good Friday.
Titled ‘Shigbogbo’ E.P, the E.P has eight unreleased songs featuring Kwaw Kese, Stonebwoy, E.L and others.
It also has three bonus tracks including ‘Personal Person’ remix featuring Castro, who delivers a brand new unheard verse.
Other artistes on the E.P include, Efya, Bisa Kdei, E.L, Davido and Seyi Shay (from Nigeria), Donald (from South Africa), Stanley Enow (from Cameroon), Vanessa Mdee (from Tanzania).
“The E.P is a fusion of the original hiphop sound that introduced D-Black to the world five years back and the new afrobeats sound as well.”
