The Black Sharks need of at least US$52000 to aid them honor an invitation to the beach soccer tournament which kicks off in South Africa next month.
The competition will serve as a preparation ahead of their crucial African Cup qualifier in Uganda.
The invitation-only event in South Africa starts in just over two weeks, but it's important to get funding in time to get everything in order, according to Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.
"We are actually seeking desperate sponsorship for the competition in South Africa," the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) president said on Wednesday.
"We want to rub shoulders with the best in Africa in preparation for the CAF Beach Soccer Qualifiers scheduled for Seychelles in April. The idea of not honoring this invitation because of inadequate funds is what we don't want to even think of."
Ankrah confirmed that although CAL Bank - a key partner of the Sharks - is giving GBSA $20,000 as payment of its yearly sponsorship obligations, an additional $52000 is needed to secure the total package for players, officials, local camping preparations, air tickets and travelling in South Africa.
The Black Sharks will come up against the continent's top teams including Nigeria, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Morocco, Seychelles and host nation South Africa.
Deadline to submit their flight itenirary, according to organizers of the tourney, is February 24.
