The jersey is the first under their new mega-bucks deal with American sportswear giant New Balance, who have began dipping their toes into the football industry.
Around 1,000 people attended the launch, with a selection of Liverpool legends taking part in a question and answer session with fans.
Brendan Rodgers' side are likely to wear the strip for the first time on pre-season this summer, although fans may have to wait until August to see it for the first time in a competitive game.
At the time of the deal announcement, General manager of New Balance Football, Richard Wright, said: “Liverpool FC is one of the most successful and decorated clubs in world football and we’re delighted to partner with the club.
“The sponsorship represents an important step for New Balance launching into football and reflects the global growth ambitions of the brand.
"Over the course of the contract New Balance will bring innovation and world class product to Liverpool FC and its global fan base.”
Liverpool's campaign may have taken a disappointing turn in recent weeks, but Friday's unveiling has come as a welcome distraction for fans.
