Music has a lot of definitions, but we dayzEntertainment.com call music "the food to the soul". Long ago in Ghana  as I always say, music was just about HighLife. This trend of music spoke a lot about our culture. The instruments used those days were very local until technology changed everything. The dynamism in music sparked other types of branches to sprung up. Today, we are glad to have HipLife, Reggae, The Gh HipHop, Dancehall, to mention but few.

Our concentration is stacked on the Dancehall genre at the moment. Just like in other parts of the world, Ghana at the moment have a lot Dancehall artists and musicians respectively. However, we will love to focus on the female side first. A lot of questions have been raised to find out who really is the "Ish" or the "Devil" or the "killer" when it comes to Dancehall music in Ghana among the females artists.

We are therefore proud to present the ruler of Dancehall music at the moment in Ghana within the female faculty. These are the criteria we are using:
1. Singing Style 2. Stage Performance 3. Consistency 4. Language Flow 5. Track Hit

Based on these criterion, let's find out who rules from below:

4. AK Songstress:
AK Songstress has always dreamt of becoming one of the biggest female artistes from Ghana and Africa to the world. Akosua Kwakye which is her real name is the first female to ever win the ‘Discovery of the Year for Dancehall/Reggae Artiste’ at the 2014 BASS Awards in the midst of male contenders. AK Songstress hails from the Ashanti Region. AK Songstress who had a collabo with Nigerian Dancehall artist Patoranking is actually dreaming of performing with great musicians like herself. She has the good stage craft, the language flow but her tracks seems not to hit.
The "6 pack" hitmaker is therefore rated on the fourth position and face serious threat from Shegee Styla.

3. Shegee Styla:
Shegee Styla who is also referred to as the Godmother takes over the third position at the moment. Surprisely, Shegee has got all the good flows, Stage craft, the language flow, the singing style and whatever you can think of when it comes to dancehall. However, music today is all about you and the fans pulling you alone. The "knock out" hitmaker at the moment is keen on taking over the whole show. Within last year, Shegee Styla revealed exclusively that "most Dancehall female musicians must go back to school to learn what the genre they are into is all about". In short, she said her other female artists could only mime on stage instead of do the real ragga. Today, Shegee Styla is on form but was taken aback when she missed out on the VGMA nominations. We therefore rank the Godmother on the third position though she is on top form.

2. Kaakie:
Until MzVee’s eruption unto the danechall scene, Queen Diva Kaakie was the only female dancehall artist who matched the male dancehall artists boot for boot. She won the “Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” with her hit song Toffee Pon Tongue over Shattawale at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards and won the Best New Artiste of the Year as well.

Kaakie has however been on hibernation in the past years as she paid more attention to her final year studies in the University of Ghana where she recently graduated as a nursing student. With the current atmosphere in the Dancehall genre, Kaakie has been dethroned and her place given over to Mzvee.

1. Mzvee:
Mzvee, at the moment stand at the first position on our ranking. Her way of singing, and the melodious voice she employs in her singing is so articulated. She has been consistent in her music career and has a lot of track hits. Just a while ago, Stonebwoy who is also another giant Dancehall artist in Ghana picked Mzvee over Kaakie and confessed the later to be on point in her singing. MzVee has also in recent times enjoyed massive airplay with her songs: Natural Girl featuring Stonebuoy, Borkor borkor which features Zeal of VVIP and other featured tracks making waves at the moment .

About a year ago she said she got no competitor and yes she is proving exactly that
