Multiple award winning Nigerian musician, Wizkid, after years of professing his love for Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has honoured him.

The Starboy boss, honoured the Nigerian music icon with a new tattoo.

Born Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti, Fela, who died on August 2, 1997 is by far one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports.

He was a multi-instrumentalist, musician, composer, pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre; he was known the world over for his music.

Wizkid, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has over the years publicly confessed that Fela greatly inspired his music.

The Matter hit singer unveiled the new tattoo on his right arm depicting the music legend Wednesday on his Instagram page with the caption, “Forever!!”

He also showed off another tattoo on his right arm. The second tattoo is the face of a lion.

Wizkid has been nominated in this year’s Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards which comes off on June 28 in Los Angeles, USA.

He was nominated in the Best International Act: Africa category.

The musician will battle Sarkodie (Ghana), Stonebwoy (Ghana), AKA (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DR Congo), Sauti Sol (Kenya), The Soil (South Africa), and Yemi Alade (Nigeria) for the award.

Wizkid and Sarkodie jointly won the award in 2012.
