The 22-year-old died at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA yesterday (July 26). Due to Brown being in care six months after she first admitted to the hospital, the medical examiner’s office says the evaluation may be difficult.
“Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging,” the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said in the statement. “However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.”
Brown was found face down in her bathtub in her Atlanta home on Jan. 31st. Throughout her stay at various hospitals, there were reports that she was brain dead but her family continually denied those claims. She was transferred into hospice care in June after her condition continued to deteriorate.
The Roswell Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and Nick Gordon’s possible involvement.
