The dancehall scene has become very hot lately with many beefs and grudges. One beef which is seemingly brewing is the one between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Many have indicated that the sudden takeover of the dancehall scene by Stonebwoy including his BET Award win recently is something dancehall compatriot, Shatta Wale is not happy about.
It looks like what people are saying is quite true since information we’ve picked from the camp of Shatta Wale indicates that the self-acclaimed dancehall king is not happy with the achievement of Stonebwoy and has directed his anger at his manager Bulldog.
As can be recalled, Bulldog has come under some criticism recently over his management abilities and know-how. His former artiste, Nii Soul in an interview recently indicated that Bulldog is a bad manager. Iwan who also happens to be a former artiste under Bulldog has also stated his displeasure with Bulldog over his management style.
It looks like Shatta Wale is joining the two as he has reportedly indicated his displeasure with his manager over the fact that his popularity and dominance in the Ghanaian music scene seems to have been overshadowed by Stonebwoy who is obviously the most sort after dancehall act currently.
What seems to have ignited the fight is the announcement of Stonebwoy as an ambassador for KIA, an information which went viral just today.
Our snitch in the SM4Lyf indicates to us that after hearing of the news, Shatta called Bulldog and questioned his management skills. According to our guy, Shatta asked why he’s no more playing big shows, not the most talked about artiste and not making much progress lately. He is said to have told Bulldog that he (Bulldog) wants him (Shatta) to be doing everything whiles he stays back to enjoy the money.
We are still trying to get in touch with the dancehall king to know the truth behind this rumor.
