Ghana’s MzVee, the hit maker of Natural Girl, Borkor Borkor, Mensuro Obia, Dancehall Queen and more great tracks, has been nominated for this year’s BET Awards.

She has been nominated alongside other other African giants including AKA, Black Coffee and Cassper Nyovest from South Africa, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, Serge Beynaud from Ivory Coast, as well as Wizkid and Yemi Alade from Nigeria.

This year she happens to be the only Ghanaian in the Best International Act Africa category which saw Sarkodie and Stonebwoy pick nominations for, last year, seeing Stonebwoy bring home the award. In 2015, she received a nomination in the Best New International Artist Viewers’ Choice Award category, but lost to Eddy Kenzo from Uganda, and this will be the second time MzVee has been nominated at the BET.

At this year’s Ghana Music Awards, MzVee received 7 nominations, but won only the Best Female Vocalist of the Year award with her Hold Me Now song.

The 2016 BET Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater In Los Angeles, United States of America on Sunday, June 26.
