The 35-year-old world-renowned tennis player enjoyed the celebration with her loved ones as they joined a yoga and meditation class and hopped on a private yacht for a relaxing cruise around Miami. <br />

Serena Williams recently jetted off to Miami to celebrate her upcoming wedding to fiance Alexis Ohanian with a fun-filled bridal shower. The pregnant tennis superstar was joined by 20 of her closest friends, including her mother and sisters.<br />
<br />
PEOPLE reported that Serena enjoyed the celebration at 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach over the weekend. Event planner Val Vogt of VLV Group told the publication that the bridal shower was meticulously planned out. "The shower really reflected Serena's girlie and detail-oriented personality," he shared. "There were lots of surprises for her throughout the weekend." A friend of Serena added, "It was a really magical weekend with a lot of love for Serena."<br />

According to Us Weekly, Serena kicked off the celebration with a group breakfast on Saturday, May 6, completed with an omelette bar, green juices and gluten-free breads. They later joined a yoga and meditation class on the rooftop pool deck, before getting pampered with foot massages in an air-conditioned poolside cabana at the hotel's Bamford Haybarn Spa.<br />

Serena then hopped on a private yacht with her pals and family for a relaxing cruise around Miami. When the group returned to the hotel, Serena's friends had covered her luxurious "Retreat Collection" suit with bridal-themed decorations, including custom-made pinata of her in a Nike tennis dress and her fiance. A source said that her pals gave her stuffed animals as a gift at the end of the Saturday night party.<br />

The 35-year-old Grand Slam champ seemed to enjoy her vacation as she took to Instagram to share a funny pic from her visit to Disney's Pandora: World of Avatar in Orlando, Florida. "Had the best time at Disney, Pandora was unreal!!#visitpandora," so she captioned the photo.<br />

Barcelona - The number of mobile phone users globally will surpass five billion by the middle of this year, according to a study released Monday by GSMA, the association of mobile operators.<br /><br />With populations in Asia, and notably India, on the rise, the number, which stood at 4.8 billion a year ago, should mushroom to 5.7 billion, or three quarters of the world's population, by 2020.<br /><br />Asia will account for around half total growth, according to GSMA's 'Mobile Economy' report with India alone adding some 310 million new subscribers in the coming three years.<br /><br />The study also showed a trend towards mobile broadband networks and smartphones, said the study, which highlighted the mobile industry's growing contribution to economic activity and social development.<br /><br />"Mobile is a global platform that today supports two-thirds of the world's population, delivering the connectivity and infrastructure that is powering new digital economies and addressing socio-economic challenges," said Mats Granryd, GSMA director general.<br /><br />"Our latest Mobile Economy report reveals how the near ubiquity of smartphones and high-speed connectivity is enabling innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence and driving the digital transformation," added Granryd, citing trillion-dollar investment in global networks since 2010.<br /><br />That investment had seen the telecoms sector account for a 4.4% share of world GDP worth $3.3trn dollars last year, rising to a 4.9% share by 2020, for economic value equivalent to $4.2trn.<br /><br />The report said the mobile ecosystem last year employed 28.5 million people directly or indirectly, a figure it said would rise to 30.9 million by 2020.<br /><br />It added the sector would contribute $500bn in tax receipts by 2020, up from $450bn last year, not including revenue from spectrum auctions, worth almost $19bn in 2016.<br /><br />Operators are forecast to invest a further $700bn by 2020 when 5G connectivity is set to bring ever faster data connection.<br /><br />Ahead of 5G - forecast to enable subscribers to download a full HD film in less than one second - 4G has been steadily becoming the norm, rising from current market penetration of 21% to 41% by 2020.<br /><br />GSMA said 2016 saw 580 4G networks launched in 188 countries covering 60% of the world population.<br /><br />The organisation added 55% of overall connections were now running on mobile broadband (3G/4G) networks, which are forecast to account for almost three-quarters of connections by 2020.

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been freed from detention, six years after being overthrown.<br /><br />Mr Mubarak left a military hospital in southern Cairo and went to his home in the northern suburb of Heliopolis, his lawyer said.<br /><br />He was ordered freed earlier this month after Egypt’s top appeals court cleared him over the deaths of protesters in the 2011 uprising.<br /><br />Mr Mubarak, 88, became president in 1981 after Anwar Sadat’s assassination.<br /><br />He had been at Maadi Military Hospital since 2013, when he was transferred there on bail from Torah prison.<br /><br />Mr Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted in 2012 of complicity in the killing of protesters who died at the hands of security forces in February, 2011.<br /><br />Another trial was held and a judge decreed in May 2015 that Mr Mubarak could be released from detention.<br /><br />However, the government of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was reportedly reluctant to free him because of the public backlash that might accompany such a move.<br /><br />Mr Sisi served as Mr Mubarak’s military intelligence chief and led the military’s overthrow of his democratically elected successor, Mohammed Morsi, in 2013.<br /><br />In all, more than 800 people are believed to have been killed as security forces clashed with protesters in Cairo, Alexandria, Suez and other cities around Egypt during the 18-day uprising that forced Mr Mubarak to resign.

The French Embassy in Ghana is set to be relocated from its current location, where it shares the premises with the Flagstaff House, the seat of government.<br /><br />The moved French embassy will be situated next to the current residence of the French ambassador to Ghana in Cantonments.<br /><br />Excited by the news, President Akufo-Addo expressed the government’s deep satisfaction at France’s decision to resettle their embassy.<br /><br />He assured that the relocation exercise will be achieved without political difficulties.<br /><br />He was speaking at an event to commission the construction of the new French embassy.<br /><br />On his part, the French ambassador to Ghana, Pujolas Francois Pujolas assured that the new edifice will be completed within 18 months.<br /><br />According to him, the building of the French embassy in Ghana is a “symbol” of the confidence France has in Ghana.<br /><br />Describing the commissioning of the event as “special”,  Mr. Pujolas stressed that some key elements of the project “symbolizes the partnership between our countries” despite cultural differences.<br /><br />Over the years security concerns were raised regarding the location of the presidential palace extremely close to the French embassy in Ghana, with some saying the French intelligence satellite could interfere with that of government.

One Direction had a bad experience with Donald Trump. In an interview with Rollacoaster magazine, 1D's member Liam Payne opened up about the moment when the current president kicked him, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles out of his hotel because they wouldn't meet one of his daughters.<br />

"Donald Trump kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn't believe it," said Liam. "It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said, 'Well wake them up,' and I was like, 'No,' and then he wouldn't let us use the underground garage." Liam continued, "Obviously in New York we can't really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like 'Okay, I don't want you in my hotel.' So we had to leave."<br />

The 23-year-old singer also talked about his friendship with Justin Bieber. "He's a great guy. Inside there's a really good heart," said Liam of the "Love Yourself" hitmaker. Liam then revealed that he and Justin once confided in each other as they dealt with similar "chaotic lives."<br />

In the latest issue of the magazine, Liam also gushed over his pregnant girlfriend, Cheryl Cole. "Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world and she's absolutely amazing," Liam claimed. Ken Ehrlich, Grammys Executive Producer, also addressed the news in a statement, saying the two legends had "deep cultural impact" to the people. "While the primary focus of the Grammy Awards is to celebrate and honor the year's best in music, we consider it our responsibility to tell music's broader story by honoring its legends lost -that's what we strive to achieve with our annual tributes," Ehrlich said, before adding, "While it's nearly impossible to convey the full depth of an artist's cultural impact in a single performance, it's that very challenge that has led us to some of our most memorable Grammy moments."<br />
<br />
The Recording Academy has yet to reveal which performer to take part in the specific tributes, but John Legend was previously announced to perform at the ceremony's in-memoriam segment. Other performers who will hit Grammys' stage are Adele, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Chance The Rapper, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, Maren Morris, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Metallica.<br />

Barack Obama might be the happiest former president ever as he went on many vacations after retiring. After wrapping up his short sweet escape in Palm Spring with his family, Obama brought his wife and daughters to fly over to the British Virgin Island, a private island owned by famous billionaire Richard Branson. Obama was even spotted kitesurfing with the billionaire there.<br />

Branson uploaded a video on YouTube titled "Richard vs Barack" on Tuesday, February 7, showing how the former president handles the extreme sports. The video shows Branson and Obama competing on who could stay on board the longest. In the video, Obama tries to balance his body on a kiteboard and Branson on a foilboard. Branson and Obama fall to the water multiple times but they still look happy and energetic. Obama appears to be the winner and the video ends with a picture of the former president smiling widely to the camera.<br />

Branson also took to his website to explain the backstory of the competition. He said that Obama once told him how he had been surfing on a dangerous break in Hawaii before he became a president. But after he was elected, his security team restrained him from surfing since it was considered dangerous.<br />

So after Obama retired from his position, Branson invited him to his island to try kitesurfing. In the post, Branson also bragged about how Obama mastered the basic of kitesurfing in only two days. The two gentlemen seemed enjoying their vacation together as Branson has already planned for another one. He wrote that he wanted to do the long kite in Anegada together with Obama the next time he visits his island.

John Legend has a busy year ahead. After releasing the Ariana Grande-assisted theme song of Disney's upcoming fairytale retelling "Beauty and the Beast (2017)", Legend announced on Monday, February 6 that he would embark on "Darkness and Light" North American tour in support of his latest album of the same name.<br />
<br />
The extensive tour will kick off on May 12 at Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheater and wrap it at New Orleans' ESSENCE Festival on June 30. Joined by singer/songwriter Gallant, the trek will visit some big cities including Nashville, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Saint Louis and more. Pre-sales tickets will be available on February 7 while general admission tickets go on sale on Friday, February 10.<br />
<br />
Legend's fifth album "Darkness and Light" was released in December and debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. The set boasts guest appearances from Chance the Rapper, Brittany Howard and Miguel.<br />
<br />
Legend recently executive produced and made appearance as Keith in Golden Globe-winning film "La La Land". In addition, the "All of Me" hitmaker produced a film titled "Southside with You", which chronicles Barack and Michele Obama's first date.<br />

Usain Bolt will have to hand back one of his nine Olympic gold medals after Jamaican team-mate Nesta Carter tested positive for a banned substance.<br />
<br />
Carter was part of the Jamaican quartet that won the 4x100m in Beijing in 2008.<br />
<br />
His was one of 454 selected doping samples retested by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last year, and has been found to contain the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine.<br />
<br />
Bolt, 30, completed an unprecedented ‘triple triple’ in Rio last summer.<br />
<br />
He won gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay to add to his successes in the same events in 2008 and 2012.<br />
<br />
Carter, 31, was also part of the squad that won the event in London five years ago and helped Jamaica to win the World Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2015.<br />
<br />
Trinidad & Tobago have now been awarded the 2008 relay gold, with Japan upgraded to silver and Brazil given bronze.<br />

Tom Barrack, the chair of Trump’s inaugural committee, said it was ‘not the venue’ for the Gold Digger musician to perform at.<br />

It was rumored Trump might call on his ‘friend’ to perform, as he has struggled to book established musicians to perform at his ceremony. Among those to have been confirmed include 16-year-old America’s Got Talent singer Jackie Evancho and country star Toby Keith.<br />
Barrack, a long-time friend of Trump, said last night: ‘We haven’t asked him [Kanye West].<br />

‘He considers himself a friend of the President-Elect, but it’s not the venue.’<br />
<br />
Speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, he added: ‘The venue we have for entertainment is filled out, it’s perfect, it’s going to be typically and traditionally American, and Kanye is a great guy but we just haven’t asked him to perform. We move on with our agenda.’<br />
The rapper and the businessman met in Trump Tower last month, with Trump telling reporters they spoke about ‘life’.<br />
<br />
When asked what they discussed, Trump replied: ‘Just friends, just friends. He’s a good man.’<br />
<br />
West – who announced his support for Trump at a recent concert – later revealed they had talked about multicultural issues, bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.<br />
<br />
He said: ‘I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.<br />
<br />
Finally he tweeted: ‘#2024’, hinting he might also run for the White House in the future.<br />
Trump is optimistic his inauguration on Friday will attract large crowds and has shrugged off an onslaught of Democrats and celebrities who have vowed to boycott it.<br />
<br />
A quarter of a million tickets have been allotted for the event and there is space for another 500,000 people to stand behind the ticketed area.<br />
<br />
Nineteen Democratic lawmakers have publicly promised not to attend, their protest fueled by a recent row between the Republican and civil rights campaigner John Lewis who said Trump would not be a ‘legitimate’ leader.<br />
<br />
Trump has also struggled to book established musicians to perform.<br />
<br />

Police swooped in the Paris region and the south of France following the discovery of DNA at the luxury Paris residence where Kardashian was robbed in October, one source said.<br />

“One of the DNA samples matched an individual known to police for robbery and criminal offences, who is considered a major thug,” the source said.<br />

Money and documents were also seized in the raids.<br />

A gang of armed and masked men had burst into the residence in a chic area of the capital where 36-year-old Kardashian and her entourage were staying during fashion week.<br />
<br />
The star was tied up and locked in the bathroom and the gang fled with jewellery including a ring worth around four million euros and a case of jewellery with a value of five million euros.<br />
<br />
Kardashian broke her silence about the incident this weekend, saying she feared she was going to be killed by the robbers.<br />
<br />
“They’re going to shoot me in the back,” Kardashian tells her sisters in a promotional clip for the new season of her hit TV show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.<br />

“There’s no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it,” she adds.

Seasoned rapper Kwame Nsiah Apau (better known by his stagename Okyeame Kwame), is set to release a groundbreaking collaborative joint with Jamaican legend Sizzla Kalonji, with whom he shares the same birthdate – 17th April, 1976.<br />

A signed letter from Muhammad Ali to Nelson Mandela offering his condolences on the death of an anti-apartheid leader has sold for £7,200. <br />
<br />
The typed letter, signed by the boxing legend on “Muhammad Ali in South Africa” stationery, dates from 1993. It was sold in an auction in Devizes. Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said: “It’s fair to say Mohammad Ali was the greatest sportsman of all time and Nelson Mandela was one of the greatest figures of the last century.” <br />

‘Fierce opponent’ <br />
<br />
The letter was typed by the personal assistant to the general manager of the Elangeni Hotel in Durban, where former world heavyweight champion Ali was staying at the time. <br />
<br />
Henry Aldridge and Son said the letter was sold to a collector in the US. <br />
<br />
It was expected to fetch between £6,000 and £8,000. The letter also includes an explanation as to why Muhammad Ali’s name was typed incorrectly by the personal assistant, who has sold the letter. <br />
<br />
“It is a truly iconic cross collectable and will appeal to collectors of Ali memorabilia as well as those who collect Nelson Mandela material, items relating to apartheid, political history and collectors of iconic memorabilia,” Mr Aldridge added. <br />
<br />
“Muhammad Ali was only in South Africa for a short period in April 1993, arriving shortly after the assassination of Chris Hani on 10 April. <br />
<br />
“Hani was the chief of staff of Umkhonto We Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). <br />
<br />
“He was a fierce opponent of the apartheid government and was murdered by a far right extremist outside of his home in Boksburg. <br />
<br />
“Against that backdrop Ali arrived in South Africa at a time when the country stood on the edge of a precipice with civil war a possibility. <br />
<br />
“He attended Hani’s farewell at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on 19 April 1993 and when he appeared to the crowd, they chanted ‘Ali! Ali!’.” <br />
<br />
Mr Aldridge said Mandela kept a photograph of himself with Ali on his desk and his favourite book, in his later years, was an autographed copy of Ali’s biography. <br />
