Bishop Daniel Obinim often referred to as “Angel Obinim” and his International Godsway Church have been dragged to the law courts of Ghana by three individuals for allegedly infringing on the human rights of two members of his church.

This comes days after the leader of the church in a television broadcast was seen flogging a young man and a lady in his church for allegedly engaging in s*xual activities and allegedly attempting an abortion.

The video which went viral on social media caught the attention of many who either condemned or commended the “bushop” for his actions.

Among those who spoke against his action was the current Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection in Ghana, Nana Oye Lithur who reported the case to the Accra Regional office of the Domestic Violence and Victims’ Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service.

In a writ of summons made available , three complainants, F-X Affiliates (a law firm), Daniel Agbavor and Lawyer Irene Abochie filed a lawsuit against the church and the leader (first and second respondents respectively) and are expected to appear in court on September 27 2016.

This is not the first time the bishop has been sued. In 2011, Obinim was sued for attacking a number of presenters at Hot FM in Accra.

His act of stepping on a woman’s stomach with the supposed intent of healing her also got the world including American Gospel singer Deitrick Hardon going hard on him.

Below is a copy of the lawsuit.
