The ‘Chop Kiss’ hit maker told Bola Ray on Starr Chat that though he has not been regular at church as a result of his busy schedule, he makes a conscious effort to pray and read the Bible.
“I am a very good Christian and I fellowship at Action Faith Ministries headed by Archbishop Duncan Williams… It’s been long since I visited church because of my busy schedule so my wife goes and pays my tithe …the last time I was in church was 31st December but it’s no surprise to God so far as we communicate, I have his number and we whatsapp and communicate a lot and I read my Bible everyday,” he said.
Asked by Bola Ray what his favourite Bible quotation was, Shatta Wale quoted Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go and I will guard you with my eye.”
Shatta Wale added that he believes he has a covenant with God and promised him, he was going to mention him in his songs, adding that he was going to build churches for God.
“I believe I have a covenant to God and I made a promise to God. Me changing my name from Bandana to Shatta I was going to mention his name in my songs and anything I do I have to mention his name to spread his word across and I’m waiting to get that huge money I have to get to build churches for people to know God,” the “Mahama Paper” singer said.
