However, have you ever taken a minute to ask what goes into realizing such musical features?
Well, for some artists, it’s all about the money and nothing else. For others, it goes beyond the money and that’s exactly where multi award winning Ghanaian Afro dancehall artist Stonebwoy places himself.
In a Twitter Q&A session put together by MTV Base West Africa ahead of the 2016 MTV MAMAs scheduled to hold in Johannesburg, the dancehall artist who recently performed in front of over 30,000 crowd at the Ashaiman park in Accra during his BHIM Nation for Peace Concert revealed his main interest in music features and collaborations.
Asked what he considered prior a feature, the Problem hit maker revealed they are borne out of love for the projects and not necessarily the money involved.
He said;
“Business must be taken care regardless but I don’t do features for the money. I do it for the song and I don’t care who the artist is whether blown or underground.”
The musician also revealed he would wish Nigerian singer and performer Flavor wins the Best Live Act Performer should he (Stonebwoy) miss it.@MTVBaseWest must take care of business but I don't do it for the money only primarily #askstonebwoy #mamanominee pic.twitter.com/7txk9kZIdm— LIVINGSTONE (@stonebwoyb) October 12, 2016
