Dancehall singer Stonebwoy is reportedly shooting shooting an official music video for one of his recent singles Migraine (produced by Beatz Dakay). 
 
The Enku Lenu singer, who also makes an appearance on MTV Base’s Shuga series, has already toured prominent media organisations in the country, including Metro FM, Trace TV, ETV among others. 
 
Yesterday, to coincide with the Valentine’s Day celebrations, he dropped a new love song One Thing (featuring Damaris)aud it has already been widely received.

AMG Business act Medikal (born Samuel Adu Frimpong), who is prepping for the release of his sophomore mixtape Disturbation in April has dropped his latest single featuring ace dancehall singer Livingstone Satekla (better known in showbiz as Stonebwoy). Titled Gimme Vibe, the record is set for release on February 3. 
 
He divulga that the beautiful love song was inspired on a recent Kampala vacation with his Girlfriend Deborah Vanessa, who also stars in the video. 
 
Gimme Vibe was produced by  Uncle Beatz. Medikal (a realistic contender for VGMA New Artist of the Year), enjoys massive presence on radio for such songs as Confirm, Go Bless You, Connect, By Heart Boy, and Too Risky.

Under the theme “Using creative industry to effect change”, Stonebwoy kicks off his “Stonebwoy Campus Tour” this Thursday, February 2 with Ashesi University. 
 
The 2015 BET “Best African Act” Winner’s campus tour is expected to sweep across various tertiary schools in Ghana. Starting with this campus tour, students at Ashesi University will get a good thrill on the night as Stonebwoy gets closer to his fans at schools this year. 
 
“We want to build a stronger bond with the schools and get closer to them. Days ago we were in his school, Tema Methodist High School to make some donations and all that is part of our initiatives this year. This year doesn’t look dull for us at all, we are going to be very busy all over”, Sidi Mohammed, Stonebwoy’s Manager intimated. 
 
Stonebwoy is tipped to have another very busy year this 2017 with lined up engagements. Amongst them would be a new album titled “Epistles Of Mama” (EOM) due for early release, tentatively, within the 1st quarter of 2017; an official launch of his “Livingstone Foundation”; big concerts abroad (with specific dates to be announced later) among other engagements. 
 
Stonebwoy looks forward to some good slots for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2017) as well. He won “Artiste of the Year” at the VGMA 2015 and had since lived up to high standards. He already has 3 albums to his credit “Grade 1”, “Necessary Evil” and “Livingstone (EP)”.

Stonebwoy paid the school fees of 5 final year students of his alma mater, Tema Methodist Day Senior High School as part of sponsorship. The kind gesture is in line with Stonebwoy’s upcoming initiatives, “The Livingstone Foundation”, soon to be launched, later this year. 
 
“I’m grateful that I went through Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, passed my courses and moved on. Aside the academia, I nurtured my music talent. Not to say you should forget school, you need to take your studies seriously. Not everyone is privileged to have parents or guardians pay their schools fees, much less to say on a regular. Even myself at some point, I had to struggle to get my fees paid, so if you have people who support you with school fees, you should take that seriously. And these things I am saying is not new to some of you, but I am sharing my story with you to remind you that many people have gone through same situation as you, but it can only get better. The likes of me and Sarkodie were here. Every level of life is a struggle, but how you come out of the situation is what elevates you and makes you a winner,” Stonebwoy said. 
 
He used the opportunity to address the student populace and staff on Friday morning, January 20, 2017, which also marks his (Stonebwoy) Mum’s birthday (of blessed memory) – she passed on in July 2015. 
 
Stonebwoy also took the time to reflect on his fatal motor accident that happened 15 years ago on January 19 (a day before his Mum’s birthday). He recounts the touching story saying… “Once upon a time I was a student who used to walk this campus with a stiff knee. But God being so good, I was able to rise above situations and got it fixed properly now. Few days ago, I visited a brother who had an accident too but unfortunately got amputated – that could have been my story but I didn’t go through that and I am grateful. Trust me, it was not my intention to have that news of me visiting them circulate in the media because their situation isn’t a pleasant one; I have been there before and know how it feels, but situations have made it so. My name is ‘Livingstone’ meaning a ‘LIVING STONE’ so despite the circumstances we find ourselves in, we try to outlive it. Circumstances should not limit you.” 
 
The Headmistress of the School, Mrs. Ellen Asare Pepra was highly elated about the international music superstar’s gesture. “Not very often do we see such happen to underprivileged students and for Stonebwoy to come to their aid is an act worthy of praise. We wish Stonebwoy all the best in all his endeavours. We know he will achieve more and rise above the skies.” She also took the time to advise the student populace in front of Stonebwoy at their assembly hall. “You are a brand, and the way you package yourself will determine the way your generation sees you. Don’t package yourself as an object to be misused or pitied by others. Package yourself as an object to be sought after and desired.” 
 
Stonebwoy also donated some hard copies of Elorm Beenie’s new novel “Love Myelitis” to the sponsored students. Elorm Beenie is Stonebwoy’s Official Publicist. 
 
Stonebwoy began 2017 with a new song and video “Enkulenu” released on January 3, tipped to be one of his major hits this year. The song is already having good rotation on various Radio, TV and internet stations.

The reports claimed 
that the feud was occasioned by their inability to agree on certain 
financial agreements, something which culminated in the singer 
vandalising Dakay’s studio and a subsequent termination of their working
 relationship. 
 
Taking to Instagram, he admitted to a rift with the producer, insisting that it had been sorted but the issue looks a little blur as the producer takes to social media to tell his side of the story.

Honesty is the best policy. It's quite unfortunate I have to put this out at this time because it's so appalling seeing fabricated stories about Stonebwoy and I circulating and painting the wrong picture of me in the process. </blockquote>

The fact is for the past years ,I have sacrificed a lot to produce,record,direct,mix and master songs for Stonebwoy without taking a penny until he became relevant in the music scene and hence arrangement was made to pay me 5%,not only for my exclusive productions but also as a backup artiste. </blockquote>

It was reported in flex news paper that I demanded for 20% of earnings and also I am frustrated because I am broke and my family is having a hard time which are all false. I only started getting 5% of the earnings when Management of Burniton Music Group sat down to apportion that to me as my share of profits from my work for Stonebwoy and Burniton Music Group. And even with that I never knew the round figure we make, to calculate my 5% to know if I’m getting exactly what they think i deserve. It is true i raised concerns in adjustment of my 5% after about three (3) years of my services but never mentioned 20%. </blockquote>

We discussed this together and Stonebwoy resorted to see his lawyer to bring in contract which was a great idea, but terms and conditions in the contract were not favourable and also due to the hasty nature of the process i didn't sign. </blockquote>

I knew I had not signed any contract yet,so i expected the previous agreement to still hold till we sign a new contract but was dismayed by Stonebwoy going ahead to put the terms in the contract to work. I went to his residence to discuss with him the turn of events and as a result of his utterances I knew it didn't go down well with him. He later came to my studio with Blakk Cedi,who is his manager now, to have a meeting with me to discuss the issues at hand but that meeting ended with Stonebwoy vandalizing my studio where most of his works were recorded. </blockquote>

They came back after the damage to have another meeting with me with the aim of resolving issues and to apologize for his act.We came into new terms and by his words,I understood i can't talk to him anymore over anything relating to work because there is Blakk Cedi who is his official manager to talk to. </blockquote>

I want fans who are speculating about my travels to know that I paid for all my travel expenses,being it visa fees and plane tickets whenever i travel outside to work with/for Stonebwoy if the host could not afford my ticket. As walls have ears I think the reporter who wrote the story making rounds in the media did not get his/her facts accurate. </blockquote>

Truth is,I mixed and mastered “Enku Lenu” for a fee which was never the case before and it was produced by Awaga who has been my trainee/protege and still is,but I have allowed him to help Stonebwoy with his works in his newly built studio. I have been sober on this,but lies can't be hidden from the public's eye, and the ugly misconceptions people have needs to be trashed.</blockquote>

I worked with Stonebwoy and the team for years and do not regret it. It has been a great learning process and I am much grateful to God for how far we have come. I want Ghanaians and the rest of the world to know that my studio from its inception has been open for commercial use,and I am still very much open to work with any artiste who is ready to work with me.</blockquote>

Dancehall act Stonebwoy has disclosed that he will support surgeries of persons who have been disabled through accidents. 
 
The musician, who went through a successful knee replacement surgery last year several years after he was involved in a motor accident, says the initiative is part of his Livingstone Foundation goals to give back to society. 
 
He made the disclosure after he donated an amount of money to a patient at the St Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua over the weekend. 
 
Stonebwoy in an exclusive interview with Hitz FM’s Anita Ampomah said the Livingston Foundation has been in existence since 2014, though it was not officially launched. 
 
The Livingstone Foundation made its first move with Bless My Community Concert, then others followed. 
 
The Foundation he added will support the bills of those that have orthopedic cases. 
 
Orthopedics is a medical specialty concerned with correction of deformities or functional impairments of the skeletal system. 
 
“Up until this point in life, I can never forget where I came from and although I don’t have much to give, I always make an effort to give the little that I can give to ones who deserve it. 
 
"In the long run, I pray to support those that have been disabled one way or the other by accidents,” he added.

Dancehall singer Livingstone Satekla (known in showbiz as Stonebwoy), has announced that popular Nigerian singer Tekno Miles will mount his GHANA ROCKS: The Bhim Concert , which is slated for the Accra International Conference Centre tomorrow, December 27th. He made this known to audiences at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2016 concert during his performance with him. 
 
Stonebwoy has released his own rendition Tenno’s Pana song, and recently collaborated with him on Last Station, which they’re expected to perform on the night. 
 
This year’s edition of the Charter House event will also see sterling supporting performances from Samini, MzVee, Jupitar, and Nigeria’s Cynthia Morgan, organisers have revealed. 
 
CharterHouse’s George Quaye reveals on Starr FM Saturday morning, that a highlight of the show is the return to the original intention of celebrating a particular artist with each concert, which happens to be the Baafira singer on this occasion. 
 
The event, which has paraded some of the most prominent Ghanaian and UK-based acts including Ofori Amponsah, Samini, Chipmunk among others, comes off December 27 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy put a spin on ‘Heart Attack’ a song by Trey Songz during a recent episode of Coke Studio Africa.

The time is here again! All roads in the metropolis leads to the Independence Square for this year’s annual Joy FM’s ‘Skuulz’ Reunion which holds this weekend. Stonebwoy, Strongman, Eno, Ras Kuuku, and other great arts numbering close to 20 are expected to rock the thousands of people that will throng the Independence square on Oct. 29. The event is expected to attract over 50,000 people from second cycle and tertiary institutions who will turn up to reunite with old pals and reminisce  ‘the good old days’. The atmosphere as usual will be charged with various ‘jama’ songs from the old students who will enter the Independence Square, more or less in their own tailored school uniforms and with their own traditional and adapted instruments, to pump up school-based performances. Many schools from the length and breadth of the country will also engage in all kinds of gimmicks so as to be recognized. Old students will participate in various competitions, including five-aside football, basketball, 50-metre sprints, table tennis, pool, chess, tug-of-peace, ampe, music and dance and eating competitions. There will be interesting and awesome mixes from DJ Black as well. The Old School Reunion is a yearly event that brings back fond memories of secondary school, polytechnic and university experiences, and gives people the opportunity to relive those unforgettable times all over again.

BET Award winning act Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has revealed that it was his childhood dream to be in the military. 
 
“I have always wanted to be a soldier and I have always seen myself as a warrior because I have always seen life as a battlefield so I can still relate my childhood dreams to my current enskinment as “Sapashini” which means “Dancehall Warrior,” the CEO of BHIM Nation said. 
 
He made this revelation when speaking in an interview with King Lagazy on the ‘Lagazy Show’ on Hitz FM. 
 
Stonebwoy said that he was so elated when the Paramount Chief of Tamale, Gukpegu Naa (Naa Alhaji Abdulai) decided to honour him as the “Dancehall Warrior”. 
 
He continued that he is humbled by the fact that honour came from no mean person but highly respected chiefs from the Northern region who are revered as warriors by their people and that was why he decided to do his “Sapashini” hit track to show his profound appreciation to them. 
 
The ‘Go Higher’ hitmaker recounted his experience when he visited the north to stage a music concert recently. 
 
He narrated that he got scared when he alighted from a flight in the Northern Region because he could not stand the large crowd who had gathered there to welcome him. 
 
The Ghanaian Dancehall artiste continued that the crowd kept increasing and at a point he thought he was watching a movie especially when they drove him through the streets of Tamale because he was overwhelmed by the enormous crowd who cheered him. 
 
According to him, he had postponed his show in the Northern region on several occasions due to his international tours and he believes that that may have also contributed to the high level of anxiety the residents of Tamale exhibited when they saw him. 
 
He also applauded Northern Region based acts like Fancy Gadam and Macasio for upholding dancehall music in the region and making it attractive to the inhabitants of the Region.

The world has been blessed with a lot of music features recently. Some bad, others good and others, fire. 
 
However, have you ever taken a minute to ask what goes into realizing such musical features? 
 
Well, for some artists, it’s all about the money and nothing else. For others, it goes beyond the money and that’s exactly where multi award winning Ghanaian Afro dancehall artist Stonebwoy places himself. 
 
In a Twitter Q&A session put together by MTV Base West Africa ahead of the 2016 MTV MAMAs scheduled to hold in Johannesburg, the dancehall artist who recently performed in front of over 30,000 crowd at the Ashaiman park in Accra during his BHIM Nation for Peace Concert revealed his main interest in music features and collaborations. 
 
Asked what he considered prior a feature, the Problem hit maker revealed they are borne out of love for the projects and not necessarily the money involved. 
 
He said; 
 
“Business must be taken care regardless but I don’t do features for the money. I do it for the song and I don’t care who the artist is whether blown or underground.”

Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy isn’t enthused by the attempt of fellow Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale to downplay the importance of he (Stonebwoy) featuring in the fourth season of Coke Studio Africa. 
 
The ‘People Dey’ act wants the ‘Kakai’ hit maker to “shut up” because no one other than the two parties (artiste and Coca Cola) involved know the specific details of the contract. 
 
“Nobody knows the contractual agreement that went on between us and Coca Cola apart from the two parties because we have a non disclosure clause in the contract where you keep it to yourself,” he told Joy News in an recent interview. 
 
“He doesn’t know what went on amongst the names of those who were paid a certain amount, no he doesn’t. He should shut up about it and concentrate on his and defend himself with all whatever he wants to.” 
 
He also added that he is not surprised by the stunts of Shatta Wale, but thought it was necessary to state the facts. 
 
“I”m long gone over that one and we doing different different things so I cant be bothered but I can only clear the air and make the facts known.”

As I previously reported, multi award winning Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy is currently in the Coke Studios in the Eastern part of Africa, Kenya to be precise where he is recording with American RnB superstar Trey Songz. 
 
This new project when completed will be a wrap up of Coke Studio’s fourth season. 
 
Trey Songz is teaming up with some of the biggest acts on the continent including Emtee, Nyashinski (Kenya). Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Rema (Uganda), Neyma (Mozambique), Serge Beynaud (French West Africa) and Lij Michael (Ethiopia). 
 
Last year, the Coke studios brought together other African artists and Ne-Yo.
