The Black Stars of Ghana take on Togo in the last qualifying game for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
The game to be played in Tamale will be captained by Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu after stand-in captained who replaced Asamoah Gyan due to injury was also sideline with an injury.
Agyemang-Badu was coy on whether he was going to score a goal in the game against Togo as he did against Guinea in Tamale saying:
“I don’t normally predict but it’s all in the hands Almighty Lord.”
The Udinese player also revealed preparations towards the game against Togo on Wednesday but also stressed on the disappointment in losing key players to the fixture. Badu continued:
“We have trained so well for this game. We were very disappointed against the Ugandans when we lost the game. But that’s football for you. We have put it aside and concentrating on the game on Wednesday.
“Unfortunately we have lost one of our key players again: Andre Ayew. It’s really sad when you lose great players like this.
“We’re just going in there hard and qualify the nation on Wednesday.”
On the fans reaction and reception to seeing the Black Stars play again in Tamale, Agyemang-Badu said:
“We know wonderfully they will come and support us so we have to make them proud on Wednesday.
“They should keep supporting the team. They should stay calm and on Wednesday I hope we will qualify the nation to the Nations Cup.”
The Black Stars game against Togo will be played on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 16:00GMT [4pm local time].
