The woman, Mena Aba, a peasant farmer, reportedly left for her farm on Wednesday morning with her son and seven-year-old daughter.
A few minutes after arriving at the farm, the daughter rushed home to report of her mother's kidnap.
The little girl who was traumatised, lamented that her mum was in the process of harvesting cassava when some unidentified assailants emerged from the bush and whisked her mum away with her brother strapped to her back.
Upon hearing the news, the youth in the community quickly organised themselves in groups and went into the bush in search of the victim and the supposed kidnappers.
Fortunately, they intercepted one of the kidnappers with the victims; he was arrested and sent to the chief's palace.
The suspect who would not even mention his name confessed they were three who came from Kojokrom, an adjoining community to kidnap someone for "Sakawa" - rituals.
The other two are still on the run whilst the woman and her baby have been reunited with their family.
