Avram Grant’s appointment was made public on Thursday by the President of the Football Association after an Executive Committee meeting.
The Former Assistant and substantive Coach of Chelsea signed a two-year deal and will officially take charge of the black stars team from 1st December.
According to his employers, the coach will not be tasked to win the Equatorial Guinea Cup of Nations but improve the teams’ performance at the tournament.
Ghana have not won the nations’ cup since 1982 and Grant will have no excuse than to win the trophy in 2017.
Ghana have bid to host that edition and Grant will be the luckiest to win the country’s first ever trophy since 1982.
“His contract contains targets with some benchmarks, doing well in the AFCON 2015 and winning the 2017 Cup of Nations and placing well in the qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia and depending on his performance, the FA will consider whether or not to engage him or not.”
Our checks reveal that Avram Grant will receive $50,000 and a signing on fee of $200,000.
