Preliminary investigations by the Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Woode, found Lauretta Lamptey guilty of abuse of office, unless there is a contrary proof, thereby establishing a prima facie case against her.
Lauretta Lamptey spent over $200, 000 as rent for her accommodation at the AU village in Accra while her official residence was under renovation.
She later moved into a $450 a night hotel in Accra after moving from the AU Village.
“It seems to me that somewhere along the line, the Commissioner has lost her moral compass and she has wandered away from the specific duties and responsibilities attached to that office,” Casley Hayford stated.
Speaking on Citi FM’s news analysis programme, the Big Issue, Mr. Casley Hayford described the establishment of a prima facie against the Commissioner as a good move.
