Nti, a former Kotoko legend, has been in-charge of the club since July 2013 when Executive Board Chairman Dr. KK Sarpong resigned from his position.
He headed a three-man management team which had head coach Mas-Ud Dramani and accountant Charles Opoku as members. Nti led the club to win a historic league and Cup double last season.
“Yes, his (Opoku Nti’s) position has been confirmed as CEO. He has done quite a good job since he took over as Acting Manager and I believe that is the reason for his elevation,” a Kotoko source was quoted by the Ghanaian Times.
Nti, who was a key member of the Kotoko team which won their last African title in 1983, joined the club three years ago as Special Assistant to Dr. KK Sarpong.
