Legendary Hiplife artiste Kontihene Changing His Name?

Hiplife artiste Kontihene known in real life as Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng is currently on the point of changing his stage name to Ohene. The reason might be as a result of the importance placed in the title Ohene. Ohene is a title given to traditional rulers. That is the custodian of the laws and the spiritual leader of a place.

Kontihene, in most of his songs this year seems to suggest to his fans that, he is now ready to be called Ohene. In one of his lines, he says, “the name is still the same, Ohene”. This is a little suggestion that the once ago hitman is ready for another show time.

There are several artist who has come out to change their names. Just like Biblical times, God changes names. For example, Abram was changed to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel, Naomi to Mara, Saul to Paul, Joseph to Zaphenath-Paneah.A perfect example is Shatta Wale. He was previously known as Bandana. He became a hit after the change of name. So, it is no wonder that Kontihene wants to be known as Ohene.

However, the question still remains, will he continue to be a hit after the change of name? Time will tell!!
