No Award for Ghana at MTV MAMA 2016 | Full List of Winners

The 2016 MTV MAMA came off Saturday October 22 2016 at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa and quite sad for Ghana, none of its nominees including R2Bees, MzVee, Stonebwoy and E.L won in any of the categories under which they were nominated.

The night saw performances from Wizkid, Patoranking & Sarkodie, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz and several others with a touching tribute to South African kwaito musician Mandoza who passed on September 18, 2016.

The event was hosted by the 3 power girls Nomzamo Mbatha, Yemi Alade and Bonang Matheba.

Although it sounds bad that no Ghanaian picked up an award, it is clarion call for the artists to double up and keep pushing for the best.
