The much awaited Music of Black Origin Awards (MOBO) 2016 was held in Glasgow, Friday November 2016 and among the winners were Chipmunk, Popcaan.

After a long break from music, Craig David came out good picking up and award and putting up a nice performance.

The event was hosted by Rickie H-Williams and Melvin Odoom.

Other performers included Popcaan, Craig David, Professor Green, Lady Leshurr, Laura Mvula, Chase & Status  and many others.

Tinie Tempah would however not make for what he describes as “industry politics”.

Best Grime Act – Chipmunk

Best Hip Hop Act – Section Boyz

Best Video – SKWOD (Nadia Rose)

Best Male Act – Craig David

Best Newcomer – WSTERN

Best Album – Made In The Manor (Kano)

Best Female Act – Lady Leshurr

Best International Act – Drake

On October 27 2016, a number of winners were also announced at the Cagogan Hall in London during the Pre-MOBO Awards show.
